In our article published on 15 August, 2013 we advised of changes to the law which required swimming pools to be registered with the NSW Government by 29 October, 2013.
We also advised that the NSW Government had introduced an amendment requiring that should an owner wish to sell or lease their property, they would require a Certificate of Compliance from 29 April, 2014.
The Government have now announced an extension of the Certificate of Compliance requirement to 29 April, 2015. This is excellent news for pool owners and will allow owners a further period of time to ensure pools comply with the regulations.
