Michelle attended the University of Southern Queensland where she attained her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Anthropology in 2003. Michelle then went on to complete her Bachelor of Laws at the University of New England in 2014 and has practiced in Compensation, Family Law and Wills & Estates since that time.
Michelle is a member of a number of NSW Law Society Committees including the Family Law Committee (2019 to 2020), the Ethics Committee (2020), the Privacy and Data Law Committee (2017 to 2020) and has presented at conferences on data retention and Family Law Proceedings, Technology Facilitated Stalking and Privacy and Cyber-Security issues for Legal Professionals. She is also a member of the Hunter Valley
Family Law Practitioners’ Association and Women Lawyers’ Association of New South Wales.
Michelle is the Secretary of the Central Coast Law Society and the Secretary and a Board Member of digital rights organisation Electronic Frontiers Australia Inc.
Michelle was a finalist for Regional Lawyer of the Year in the Women Lawyers’ Association of New South Wales Awards in 2019
Michelle’s priority is making sure her clients understand their rights, entitlements and the legal options available to them.
Michelle communicates clearly, in simple terms and welcomes questions from her clients. She strives to resolve disputes without Court intervention. However if litigation becomes necessary, she is a skilled advocate with a strategic approach to effectively guide her clients through complex legal matters.
Michelle joined Brazel Moore Lawyers in 2020 and has become an integral part of our Compensation Law Team.
